Who was Ruth Bader Ginsburg: The Boss Lady?

On 18th September 2020, the United States and the world lost one of its most cardinal personality, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She was an associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, she was appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1993. She was the second women to sit on the bench of United States Supreme Court in it's 212 year history. She served reverently till her death in 2020.

The LGBTQ+ community has faced a lot of problems in the past, and is facing a lot of problems even now. Recently, the #NoHomoVivah got trending on Twitter following The Solicitor General Tushar Mehta's comments on the on the PIL to recognise the same sex marriages under Hindu Marriage Act. He stated that ,"Such marriages are contrary to the statutory provision, our society, our values do not recognise marriage between two people of same-sex." Twitter came to blows after this statement and to grapple with the one's in support of the #NoHomoVivah, a new lot came out with #YesHomoVivah, and this hashtag got trending with worldwide support. Change is inevitable, but this battle has been going on for a long time and the LGBTQ+ community still has to go a long way to win their rights and acceptance in the society.
The Farmers' Protests in India

On September 12, 2020, farmers belonging to Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) and other farmers’ welfare associations took to the streets in Haryana’s Kurukshetra. They thronged the streets to express their disapproval of the recent Ordinances, under the aegis of PM Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat Project, tabled in the Lok Sabha by the Central Government. This protest quickly took a violent turn as the police began lathi charging the agitated farmers. However, this protest was only the beginning of an oncoming spate of farmers’ protests against the Ordinances. These protests have been majorly staged by distressed farmers in Punjab and Haryana, but the agitation has also spread to other states like Uttar Pradesh and Telangana.
